Dodge Has Four of 10 Top Sellers in November; Leads Sales Charge

With a 32% growth in November 2012 U.S. sales and four of Chrysler Group's top 10-selling vehicles, the Dodge brand was in the driver's seat for the company's sales last month.

With Dodge brand's November sales of 40,075 units -- plus 32% over 11/2011 -- Chrysler Group U.S. sales last month came in at 122,565, for a plus 14% over November 2011. It was the 32nd straight month of year-over-year sales increase.

Heading into the final month of the year, Chrysler Group sales tally 1,499,420 vehicles for a plus 22% over last year's pace. In all of 2011, we sold 1,369,114 vehicles.

While the Ram pickup (which includes all Ram pickups), Jeep® Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler took the top three spots last month in volume, four Dodge vehicles drove the brand and the company's sales pace.

  1. Ram pickup: 24,337 sold, +23%
  2. Jeep Grand Cherokee: 13,619, +1%
  3. Jeep Wrangler: 10,337, +12%
  4. Dodge Grand Caravan: 8,578, +42%
  5. Chrysler 200: 7,371, -9%
  6. Dodge Avenger: 7,132, +26%
  7. Chrysler Town & Country: 6,636, +3%
  8. Dodge Journey: 6,569, +77%
  9. Dodge Charger: 6,316, +24%
  10. Chrysler 300: 4,759, +17%

While not among the top 10 in sales volume, the Fiat 500 helped in the growth with a 123% sales increase with 3,606 sold for a record November. Also helping the company's performance were new sales by the Dodge Dart. The Dart had sales last month of 4,489 to bring its youthful total to 19,198.

For the other brands, Jeep brand had 35,047 in sales, down 3%, followed by Ram (25,074, +23%), and Chrysler (18,766, +1%).
